How Diagnik works
Five minutes to order, plain packaging at the door, and an answer you read yourself in under an hour. No account, no laboratory, no stored results.
1. Find the test that matches your situation
Most people arrive knowing something is wrong, or that something happened, without knowing which test answers it. The questionnaire asks three things — your symptoms, how long ago a possible exposure was, and your anatomy — and narrows the catalog to the tests that genuinely apply.
If a test does not exist for your situation, we say so instead of selling you the nearest box.
2. Check out as a guest
- No account, ever. Nothing to remember and nothing to delete later.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; your card statement shows a neutral company name.
- Initials are fine on the shipping label.
3. It arrives in plain packaging
The outer box is unbranded, with no test names and nothing on the outside that describes what is inside. Everything needed to run the test is in the box, including a step-by-step card with a read-your-result guide.
4. You run the test and read the result
Nothing is mailed to a laboratory and nobody sends you a report days later. You read your own result, at home.
- HIV: a gum swab, read at home in 20 to 40 minutes.
- Syphilis: a fingerstick, read at home in about 15 minutes.
- Chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomoniasis: a self-collected vaginal swab, read in about 30 minutes.
5. What we do with your result: nothing
Diagnik never receives your result. There is no field in our systems that stores one, so there is nothing to leak, subpoena or sell. What we do keep is what any shop keeps: your order and where to ship it.
6. What to do next
- A reactive or positive screening result: contact a clinician for confirmation and treatment. These infections are treatable, and several are curable.
- A negative result taken very soon after a possible exposure: retest after the window period.
- Symptoms that continue despite a negative result: see a clinician — plenty of non-STI conditions cause the same symptoms.

- No. You read the result at home and it is never transmitted to us. Our systems have no field for storing a test result.

- Between about 15 and 40 minutes depending on the test — 20 to 40 minutes for the HIV test, about 15 for syphilis, about 30 for the vaginal-swab test.
